There are five common materials in the kitchen cabinet: solid wood, multilayer solid wood, particle board, MDF, and stainless steel.
1.Solid wood cabinet
Solid wood kitchen cabinets are more environmentally friendly, but the price of solid wood is more expensive, so few businesses sell solid wood cabinets, and solid wood is also prone to cracking, so if you have a large budget, you can choose solid wood as the cabinet.
2.Multi-layer solid wood cabinet
Multi-layer solid wood is currently used most in kitchen cabinets, because the price is moderate, and the moisture resistance is better than particle board, MDF, so many people choose multi-layer solid wood for cabinets, the disadvantage is that the small-layer multi-layer solid wood is not environmentally friendly. When buying multi-layer solid wood, you must choose a plate from a large factory.
3.Particle board cabinet
It is also possible to use particle board in the cabinet, but it is more afraid of water. If you want to choose particle board as the kitchen cabinet, I recommend choosing imported Aeger board, which is relatively environmentally friendly.
I personally do not recommend the use of MDF as a kitchen cabinet, which is very susceptible to damping and cracking, but there are still some cabinet merchants on the market who sell this kind of board because the price is cheaper and it is suitable for families with lower budgets.
5.Stainless steel cabinet
Stainless steel cabinets have better moisture resistance, and honeycomb aluminum-filled stainless steel cabinets have better stability and are not easily deformed. Compared with man-made panels, they are more environmentally friendly. The disadvantage is that stainless steel is a bit cold, and stainless steel cabinets can be shaped cabinets. At present, many large brand cabinets do not make stainless steel kitchen cabinets, which may be the reason for the high cost.
